Abstract

This paper describes a medical knowledge and information retrieval system for general practitioners. Every year, the number of patients is increasing, but the general practitioners specialized in the lifestyle-related illness as diabetes are insufficient. The general practitioners are too busy to study bran new knowledge and information of their medical fields. Hence we have developed a medical information system, which has a semantic search function, was developed using a medical ontology that represents medical terminology semantic structure.
