Abstract
This paper considers the model of a layered image coding when some of the cell are lost and a new technology for image reconstruction in receiver is proposed. Experiment results have shown that compared with the other theme of image coding in ATM network, the algorithm proposed here improves the quality of image details with the same cell loss rate and no effect to coding efficiency and can easily be implemented.
