Abstract
Blended e-learning is a brand-new approach which is used for technology integration currently in China. Meanwhile, many kinds of Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), such as WebCT, BlackBoard, and WebCL are emerging in the field of Chinese Higher Education in the past decade for serving this new model. How do Chinese students think about this new approach? There is no much research addressed on it. We design a small-scale research for examining students’ perceptions of blended learning, which is based upon an undergraduate course offered at School of Information Technology in Education in South China Normal University. 20 students registered in the course. The findings of this study reveal that students’ understandings of blended learning are formed through the course, and their attitudes toward it are positive.
