Abstract
Most Internet measurement studies utilize traceroute- collected path traces to build Internet maps. In this paper, we measure the impact of alias resolution problem on Internet topology measurement studies. Our analysis shows that the alias resolution process has a significant effect on the observed characteristics of the topology maps.
