Time Optimal Gathering in Sensor Networks

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNTCS,volume 4474))

Abstract

Efficient data gathering is an important issue in sensor networks. We will discuss the problem of time efficient data gathering, in which data sensed throughout the network must be collected at a sink node; the aim is to minimize the time needed to complete the process. The emphasis is on some algorithmic and graph theoretical problems arising in the area.
