Abstract
The article presents results of the PhD thesis [3] written at the University of Hamburg. It is devoted to the study of stochastic networks with unreliable servers at the nodes. It is shown that there exist large classes of degradable networks for which the steady state distribution is of product form leading to a comprehensive performance and availability analysis of the systems.
