Introduction to Display Metrology

  • Reference work entry
Handbook of Visual Display Technology

Abstract

As most modern displays are manufactured by one company and integrated into a system by another, it is essential to understand the relevant parameters of specifications. The section on display metrology focuses on optical values, their measurement, and the equipment used. This introductory chapter is dedicated to the most fundamental topics such as photometry as well as measurement setup and dependencies.
