Abstract
This paper is devoted to the distributed workflows as a means to support large simulation applications, such as aircraft in flight dynamics. We are interested in the descripton of physics, their modeling in adequate tools, implementation and their deployment and execution on wide-area networks. This requires a layer where application codes are deployed and must be run cooperatively in distributed and parallel environments. We advocate the use of distrbuted and composite workflows in order to achieve effective and seamless large-scale simulation.
