Abstract

In order to provide value-added service for products during product lifecycle and service support for manufacturing enterprises in global range, based on the production mode of service oriented manufacturing(SOM), the development flow of service design based on product lifecycle and Six Sigma is established. In the base of each stage information of product lifecycle, the development flow is divided into service requirement analysis, service design, service machining and service maintenance four stages. According to requirements of SOM, the family of methods and development tool of service design are provided based on Six Sigma concept, a service design for product lifecycle development system framework in SOM is constructed, which is with service requirement as service object, by means of product lifecycle management (PLM) managing product data in entire product lifecycle, transforming information from service manufacturing and equipment e-maintenance into service design information. Finally, a product lifecycle oriented information model of service design is studied, by which data on product design, process and crafts, quality, cost, sale and maintenance could be contacted and feedback manufacturing and maintenance information to service design process, for laying a foundation for satisfying requirements of service oriented manufacturing.
