Abstract
Enrollments for computer science have dropped in recent years. Why is the trend? Can we do something to stop it? In this talk, we discuss the issues and propose some research directions with the hope that computer science can be revitalized. Coded as ACGT, we identify four interesting areas for computing. Furthermore, we preach for system openness and a simpler programming environment for small and smart devices.
