Dynamic Video Collage

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNISA,volume 5916))

Abstract

This demo presents a video visualization technique named Dynamic Video Collage (DVC). By selecting representative frames, extracting their regions of interest, constructing collages with the gradually coming frames, and displaying the collages via animations, we aim to mimic the storytelling of the video content by dynamically presenting a series of collages. In contrast to our previous work on Video Collage [1], DVC is able to show video dynamics in a more visually appealing way.

This work was performed when Yan Wang was a visiting student at Microsoft Research Asia.
