Telemedical System in Evaluation of Auditory Brainsteam Responses and Support of Diagnosis

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Lecture Notes in Computer Science ((LNAI,volume 5991))

Abstract

The paper presents the use of telemedicine in intelligent supporting of otorhinolaryngologist in the diagnosis of auditory brainsteam responses. This test is easy to visualize but difficult to diagnose. The presented software system uses advanced methods of signal processing and an author’s algorithm supporting the doctor by setting the characteristic points of the examination and reach the diagnosis. This paper describes the capabilities of the system and underline the benefits which are result of the nature of this application. It also highlights the benefits and opportunities introduced to this field of medicine by the described intelligent software system.
