Abstract
Research of intra-industry trade is still one of the frontiers of international trade. Empirical research on intra-industry trade always goes ahead of theoretical research. There are a large number of empirical researches on whether intra-industry trade exists truly, how to measure the level of intra-industry trade and the decisive factors of intra-industry trade, etc. GL index is still the classical and most widely used intra-industry trade index. Although it is not perfect, GL Index is a frequently cited indicator to measure intra-industry trade in the world. The application of GL index in intra-industry trade can be improved through the study of mechanical and electrical products intra-industry trade between China and Korea.
