Abstract
In this paper, a discrete cosine transform (DCT)-based orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) system is mainly described, and the intercarrier interference (ICI) analysis in the presence of carrier-frequency offset (CFO) over an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel is also investigated in detail. Then, the ICI performance comparison of DCT-OFDM and the conventional discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-based OFDM System is executed. The simulation results show that DCT-OFDM can improve the ICI performance and obtain better signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) than DFT-OFDM.
