The Research on Cost Estimate of Engineering Maintenance Based on Neural Networks

Abstract

This paper analyzes the basic idea of neural networks, and proposes the advantage which is the nonlinear reflection ability of artificial neural networks for cost estimate. When nonlinear relation between cost influencing factors and cost is set up, it can be implemented with artificial neural networks. It also studies application of artificial neural networks to structure cost estimate model; A model based on artificial neural networks to determine armored car reliability and maintenance cost correlation is presented and its correctness and validity is verified. Finally some suggestion of the model is further discussed.
