Abstract

Keeping the spectral information and improving spatial resolution of the fused image is a crucial research topic recently. PCA transform, High Pass Filtering and SFIM transform of three methods are analyzed and compared by multi-spectral and panchromatic remote sensing images fusion in qualitative and quantificational aspects. The assessment of experimental results indicates that PCA algorithm will lose some useful information, the image is relatively large deviation, but maintaining a good spectral information definition; High Pass Filtering has better spatial resolution and spectral characteristics, but short of the whole spectral characteristics of image is not good; SFIM algorithm is not good at improving the spatial texture detail and has a great spectrum distortion.
