Abstract
This paper provides a first look at the Digital Advanced Rural Testbed (DART) project, which is funded by the Technology Strategy Board under the Network Services Demonstrators Programme. The objective of the project is the design and implementation of a network demonstrator incorporating advanced network infrastructure elements and service enablers. This is done with a view to allowing third parties to experiment with novel business models, applications and services, compliant with the vision of next generation access services.
