Abstract

For the on-line optimization problem of constrained model predictive control, constraints are considered. However, these considered constraints may cause it become a nonlinear control problem even for the linear plant and model. Therefore, it is difficult to analyze the properties of constrained model predictive control. Based on the Newton control framework, for discrete-time state-space model of linear system, the control law of constrained predictive control is proposed. In this work the constraints are the zone constraints of input and output, and this control law is based on zone control. The state feedback form of presented control law is obtained, and the effect of constraints on control is discussed. Consequently, this proposed control law is applied into a second-order linear system, and simulation results demonstrated its effectiveness.
