Abstract
Blood compatibility of radiation sterilized disposable burette transfusion apparatus was assessed to provide basis for safe use of radiation sterilized medical materials. Radiation sterilization dose was set according to the ISO111737 Standard, whole blood clotting time, prothrombin time, partial thromboplastin time and hemolysis rate of the sample products were determined. The results show that there are no significant differences between the radiation sterilized sample materials and the negative control on WBCT, PT and PTT(p>0.05). The haemolysis test show that the haemolysis rate of the sample products is 1.38%, which meets the requirements of blood compatibility for medical devices. Disposable burette transfusion apparatus after radiation sterilization showed good blood compatibility, indicating that radiation sterilization is a biologically safe sterilization method for medical materials.
