Abstract

The passive location using phase rate of change is very difficult to achieve satisfactory results for the interferometer baseline length of Vehicle-Mounted ESM location system is shorter than Airborne’s. Therefore, the recursive least-squares location algorithm based bearing measurement is presented. The performance of the algorithm is greatly enhanced by coordinate rotation transform. Monte Carlo simulations with result analysis in the last paper further illustrate the presented algorithm has many advantages, such as high precision, quick location, large opening angle and so on. Therefore it has good prospect in military application.
