Abstract
More and more often the web is perceived as a new social platform. The users exchange information and opinion about different items posted on the web. It is easily observed in one of the forms of web 2.0 called tagging. Tagging is a process of annotating (labeling) digital items – called resources – by users. A single user can describe a number of items using a number of different tags.
Users’ signatures – created based on such activities – can be used to determine similarity between users, and give users a way to find new friends with similar interests and options. This concept is investigated here.
The paper describes a process of creating fuzzy-based users’ signatures and comparing them for the purpose of finding similar users.
