Abstract
Realistic sound effects are important for high quality multimedia applications. Binaural moving sound rendering is a challenge problem since both binaural and the Doppler effects must be considered. Conventional methods based on switching the Head Related Impulse Responses (HRIRs) with respect to source position are difficult to combine with the Doppler effect . In this paper, a simple method for the calculation of the propagation delay from source to each ear is proposed to avoid complicated geometry calculation. The initial delays of HRIRs are removed to solve the interpolation problem between adjacent HRIRs. The binaural Doppler effect is realized using de-interpolating delay lines. The simulation results verify that the proposed rendering method show significant realistic experience.
