Abstract

The bilingual machine-readable dictionary is the commonly-used resources for query and translation based on the cross-language information retrieval; however, the traditional method of constructing the bilingual dictionary manually wastes time and energy. This paper uses the method of statistics to automatically obtain the translation dictionary from the English-Chinese parallel corpus for query and translation.
