Abstract

We present a new intuitionistic fuzzy decision making approach by using distance measure and the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator in intuitionistic fuzzy environment. We introduce an intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging distance (IFOWAD) operator. This aggregation distance operator is very suitable to deal with the situation where the input data are represented in intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. We also develop an application of the new approach in the selection of investments under uncertain environment and illustrate it with a numerical example.
