Abstract

In recent years, many researchers have devoted themselves to investigate the issues of network congestion in the WSNs. In order to resolve the congestion in the WSN quickly, we propose an effective multipath approach to alleviate network congestion. The proposed approach establishes multiple paths before congestion occurs so that traffic can be rerouted to another path when congestion is detected. Our simulation results show that the approach can effectively alleviate congestion and provide better protection ability with less extra nodes and links than other braided multipath approaches.
