Abstract

We present a cognitive architecture based on a unified model of cognition, Stanovich’s tripartite framework, which provides an explanation of how reflective and adaptive human behaviour emerges from the interaction of three distinct cognitive levels (minds). In this paper, we focus on the description of our emotional model which is deeply rooted in neuromodulatory phenomena. We illustrate the emergence of emotional state using a psychological task : the emotional Stroop task.
