Abstract

Psychological adjective in mandarin Chinese is one of the semantic groups of Chinese lexicons. With the construction of semantic metadata network denoting 聪明 congming “smart” as an example, this article, on the basis of Chinese defining metalanguage and paradigmatic semantic theory, made a probe into the paradigmatic semantic network construction of psychological adjectives so as to provide some support for computers to understand lexical items in Chinese.
