Zusammenfassung

Durch die Digitalisierung von Informationen und die Vernetzung von Produkten steht die Unterhaltungselektronik vor weitreichenden Veränderungen. Neue Anwendungen in Wohnungen versprechen mehr Unterhaltung und Flexibilität, wobei die Anwendungen fundamental auf Know-how der Kommunikationstechnik und verteilten Systeme basieren werden. Aufgrund der Anforderungen hinsichtlich Stabilität, Bedienbarkeit, Qualität und Preis wird es jedoch nicht möglich sein, existierende Technologien einfach zu kopieren. Statt dessen hat eine intensive Suche nach neuen Lösungen begonnen. Das Papier präsentiert die Vision hinter digitalen Netzen in Wohnungen und beschreibt Problemstellungen und Standardisierungsbestrebungen.
