“Hidden Costs„ — Dilemma oder Alibi Des DV-Managements?

Zusammenfassung

Über die ausgewiesenen Kosten eines Rechenzentrums hinaus existieren Quellen für verdeckte Kosten, die wegen ihrer Natur nur schwer in Bilanzen zu quantifizieren oder in Planungen zu integrieren sind. Es wird der Versuch gemacht, einige der potentiellen Ursachen für “Hidden Costs„ in der Datenverarbeitung aufzuspüren und aufzudecken; dazu gehören die aus den charakteristischen Verhaltensweisen von Programmierern erwachsenden Probleme und die Schwierigkeiten des Managements mit DV-Strukturen und Software-Projekten ebenso wie die aus der technologischen Entwicklung sowie der Produktpolitik und Marktstrategie der DV-Industrie resultierende Systemkomplexität und ihre Folgen.
