Abstract
In dieser Arbeit wird eine Methode zur Anwendung von Entscheidungsbaumargumenten auf Registermaschinen (RAM’s) vorgestellt. Wir untersuchen Maschinen, die den Input nicht bitweise, sondern Zahl für Zahl einlesen und zeigen:
-
eine exponentielle untere Zeitschranke (im Verhältnis zur Summe der binären Längen der ganzen Zahlen des Inputs) für das Rucksack-Problem auf einer RAM mit Gleichheitsabfragen („if acc = 0 then goto α“);
-
eine exponentielle untere Zeitschranke (im Verhältnis zur Anzahl der ganzen Zahlen im Input) für das Komplement des Rucksack-Problems auf der nicht deterministischen Version der obigen Maschine;
-
eine quadratische untere Zeitschranke (im Verhältnis zur Anzahl der Zahlen im Input) für das Rucksack-Problem auf einer RAM mit der üblichen Abfrage „if acc > 0 then goto α“.
