Die Kernforschungsanlage Jülich GmbH (KFA) ist eine vom Bund und vom Land NRW getragene Großforschungseinrichtung mit ca. 4400 Mitarbeitern; davon sind annähemd 850 Wissenschaftler. Von der KFA wird ein thematisch weit gefächertes Forschungsprogramm in mehr als 25 Instituten und anderen Organisationseinheiten durchgeführt.
