Abstract
The concept of “virtual servers” for modelling time sharing systems is defined. The analysis of queuing networks with virtual servers is discussed. The main application of the concept of virtual servers is the modelling and analysis of customer-software for teleprocessing and database systems. This is shown at the example of an informational system.
Zusammenfassung
Teilhabersysteme und andere moderne Betriebssysteme lassen sich auf einfache Art mittels des Konzepts der “virtuellen Bediener” modellieren. Dieses Konzept wird diskutiert. Analytische Verfahren für Warteschlangenetzwerke mit virtuellen Bedienern werden besprochen. Der Einsatzschwerpunkt des Konzepts der virtuellen Bediener liegt bei der Modellierung und Analyse von Anwendersoftwaresystemen im Bereich der Datenfernverarbeitung und der Datenbanken. Dies wird am Beispiel eines Informationssystems gezeigt.
