Summary
The SIM8860 hybrid simulation model is a tool for optimal configuring Nixdorf 8860 systems with respect to performance and costs. The model employs both analytic and simulation techniques to predict the performance of the installation. The advantages gained through this approach are high degree modelling precision and reduced model construction and evaluation overhead. The analytic method is applied to those system components for which an approximative analytic model is sufficient. After a description of the method in general the connection of the simulative and the analytic parts of the model SIM8860 is demonstrated by an example
