Zusammenfassung
Seit Jahrtausenden haben die Menschen über die ihnen eigene Fähigkeit des Denkens reflektiert. Man hat dabei erkannt, daß rationales Denken offenbar gewissen Gesetzmäßigkeiten unterworfen ist. Seit 2300 Jahren bezeichnet man mit Logik genau dasjenige Gebiet in der abendländischen Wissenschaft, das durch das Bemühen charakterisiert ist, diesen Gesetzmäßigkeiten auf die Spur zu kommen. Als ihr Begründer gilt Aristoteles (“Vater der Logik”) im 4. Jhrh. v. Chr.
