Zusammenfassung

In der Vergangenheit wurden rechnergestützte Land-Informations-Systeme vielfach als Anwendungspakete realisiert, welche neben anderen Aufgaben auch solche Aufgaben zu lösen hatten, deren Bewältigung man heute von einem allgemeinen Datenbanksystem (DBMS) erwartet, wie Datenüberwachung, Datenwiedergewinnung und Zugriffspfadunterstützung.
