Zusammenfassung

Das Gebiet der Dokumentenverarbeitung ist seit einiger Zeit Gegenstand der Arbeit sowohl nationaler als auch internationaler Standardisierungsgremien. Durch die immer größere Verbreitung von Rechnernetzen besteht der Bedarf nach allgemeingültigen Dokumentendatenstrukturen, die unabhängig von spezieller Hardware und Formatiersystemen sind.
