Abstract
COST (Coopération Scientifique et Technique) 11 bis promoted European cooperative research in the field of teleinformatics with the aim of facilitating the development of common, standardized solutions to multinational problems [2]. Intermediate results of the numerous COST 11 bis projects were presented at the EUTECO Conference in Varese, Italy, in October 1983 [9].
