Abstract
Effizientes Backtracking von Prolog-Programmen kann bereits durch statische Optimierung auf einem Standard-Interpreter mittels eines Vorübersetzers und Meta-Interpreters erzielt werden. Zwei Verfahren werden dargestellt und miteinander verglichen. Das erste beruht auf der Bestimmung effizienter Backtrackpfade durch Datenabhängigkeitsanalyse, das zweite auf der Lokalisierung von (bedingten) Problemunabhängigkeiten und potentiellem Und-Parallelismus. Damit können unter gewissen Bedingungen exponentielle Laufzeitverbesserungen erzielt werden.
