Abstract

A set of different communication concepts exists in the area of distributed systems. These are accompanied by a number of minor modifications. To get a good understanding of these concepts and to see differences between them, this article tries to present the semantics of communication concepts in an uniform manner by means of place/transit ion nets. The concepts will be compared and examined with regard to their semantic level.
