CANTUS, das campusüberdeckende Netz der Universität des Saarlandes diente als wesentliche Grundlage für Entwicklungen im Rahmen des I.I.I.-Projektes. Im folgenden Bericht werden Entwicklung, Struktur und Funktion des CANTUS-Netzes und die darauf aufsetzenden Netzdienste beschrieben.
