Abstract

Within the last few years, the DARPA Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP, FTP, SMPP, TELNET, etc.) has developed into a de facto industry standard for heterogeneous packet-switching computer networks. However, the current Internet gateway architecture does not provide dynamic algorithms to route Internet datagrams between local TCP/IP networks via the system of X.25 public data networks (PDN).
