Zusammenfassung

Zur Beurteilung der Realzeitfähigkeit von MAP-Netzen wurden im Rahmen einer umfassenden Studie Messungen an einem im Labor aufgebauten MAP-Netz vorgenommen. Ziel war es, u.a. den Prioritäten-Mechanismus zu studieren und Einsichten über die Abhängigkeit der Zugriffszeiten von den Lastverhältnissen und den Parametern der MAC-Schicht zu gewinnen. Das verwendete Meß- und Monitorkonzept wird eingehend erläutert. Erste erzielte Ergebnisse werden dargestellt.

Abstract

A local area network according to the MAP specification has been established in a laboratory to assess real time capabilities among other attributes of MAP networks. The study focusses on the priority mechanism and how the access times may be affected by the load situation and parameter values of the MAC layer. The method for monitoring and measuring is explained in detail. First results are presented.
