Abstract
Wir stellen hier mit NetSim einen Simulator für neuronale Netze vor, der am Institut für Informatik der Universität Stuttgart entwickelt wird. Dieser ist ein Werkzeug, um konnektionistische Modelle mittlerer Größe in einer Experimentierumgebung zu testen, aber auch, um eigene Erfahrungen im Bau solcher Simulatoren zu sammeln. Neben einer guten graphischen Benutzeroberfläche und einem modularen Aufbau besitzt NetSim eine Netzwerkbeschreibungssprache und einen Compiler zur automatischen Erzeugung größerer Netze aus einer deskriptiven Beschreibung.
