Structured Definition of Graphical Layouts

Abstract

It is shown how graphical objects can be described by attributed structure trees. Taking attributed trees as a basis, a general approach to specifying layouts of graphical objects very easily and appropriately is discussed. The status of an existing implementation and future plans are sketched.
