Zusammenfassung
Verteilte Dateisysteme spielen eine wichtige Rolle, wenn es darum geht, dezentral gespeicherte Daten gemeinsam zu nutzen. Die Entwicklung sowie die Modellierung solcher Systeme erfordert die Berücksichtigung vieler Einzelaspekte. In dieser Arbeit werden zwei wichtige Aspekte näher untersucht:
Optimale Dateiallokation ist ein seit langem bekanntes Konzept, das die Leistungsfähigkeit eines verteilten Dateisystems erhöhen kann. Wir stellen hierfür ein Optimierungsmodell vor, das dynamisch sowohl die Lokalität als auch den Replikationsgrad der Dateien im System bestimmt. Es genügt dabei den folgenden Kriterien: Die globalen Kommunikationszeiten im System sind minimal, die Anzahl der Dateikopien fällt nicht unter ein gefordertes Mindestmaß, und eine vordefinierte Verfügbarkeitsmarke wird überschritten. Selbstverständlich ist eine optimale Dateiallokation speicherbar. Die hohe Komplexität der Optimierung wird reduziert durch die Einführung einer für die Optimierung relevanten Dateimenge.
Der zweite Aspekt, der näher untersucht werden soll, ist die kommunikationszeitminimale Abwicklung individueller Auftragsbearbeitungen ohne die Dateiallokation zu verändern. Wir stellen hierfür ein Optimierungsmodell vor, das abhängig von der aktuellen Dateiallokation den Ausführungsort eines Programms optimal bestimmt und diese Ausführungslokation zu einem wesentlichen Leistungskriterium macht.
