Einsatz der Datenverarbeitung in der Abfallwirtschaft

Zusammenfassung

Es gibt für die Abfallwirtschaft bereits zahlreiche EDV-Anwendungen wie Informationssysteme, Tourenplanungsinstrumenteund Datenerfassungs-Systeme, aber selten Simulationsmodelle. Dem gegenüber stehen als potentielle Anwender die kommunalen Betriebe und die Fachbehörden, die privaten Transporteure und Entsorger und die Abfallerzeuger. Anwender und Programme werden in diesem Beitrag einander gegenübergestellt. Die Notwendigkeit, aber auch die Grenzen des Einsatzes der EDV in der Abfallwirtschaft und die Anforderungen, die sich insbesondere aus den neuen Verwaltungsvorschriften wie TA-Sonderabfall und der geplanten TA-Siedlungsabfall ergeben, werden diskutiert.

Abstract

Computers have many applications in waste management. They are used as information systems, collection route planning tools and for data collection. Rarely are they used as simulation tolls, however. Potential users of computer simulation models are city departments of works, local, regional and state-wide waste management planning departments, private and public garbage collection services, waste treatment companies as well as large waste producers. Simulation programs and their potential users are the focus of this article. The needs and limitations of such simulation software are dealt with as well. These needs and limitations are presented in the context of the requirements of new German administrative ordinances such as the “TA Sonderabfall”, dealing with hazardous wastes, and the “TA Siedlungsabfall”, dealing with MSW.
