Abstract

Electronic control for industrial applications has long been trailing on the path of microelectronic developments. This is not because the required functions are too complex or because the required speed/dissipation figures are hard to reach, but mainly because the safety requirements are high and because the environment is hard to model during ASIC design. And improper modelling costs in lengthened product lead time!
