Zusammenfassung

Dieser Bericht beschreibt eine Anwendung der formalen Beschreibungstechnik (FDT: Formal Description Technique) Estelle auf das ISO-Normungsprojekt ISO Distributed Transaction Processing (ISO TP). Da durch dieses Projekt die FDT Estelle in einer vergleichsweise frühen Entwurfs-Phase der ISO-TP-Norm angewandt wurde, konnten viele Fehler und Inkonsistenzen zu einem frühen Zeitpunkt entdeckt und beseitigt werden.
