Abstract
The computer industry is experiencing major paradigm shifts which are clearly visible in the trend to RISC-based technology but much less evident in the software area. CONVEX leverages this trends with its new SPP-systems which meet the objectives of supercomputer performance as well as of general purpose operating and follow the price/performance ratios of high performance workstations.
