Zusammenfassung
Today we see the synergy of two technologies: databases and networking. Tomorrows global information systems will integrate network technology and database technology. However, each world still has its own concepts and technology. They are aware of each other, but they do not collaborate. Networking people have heard of SQL, but had few opportunities to use it. Database people use the Internet, but its technology is unfamiliar to them.
